RODNEY COOK

Chair of Trustees

Rod has been Chair since Oasis English Language School became a registered charity (CIO) in July 2016.  Rod has over 30 years senior management experience in local government, and has project management skills. He had previous experience of being chair of a charity and making applications for funds.

SUE HEALEY

Trustee

Sue comes to this trusteeship from a career in education, including being part of the senior leadership team at an Ipswich high school, where one of her roles was to oversee language provision in a multi-cultural context. Sue advises us and oversees our safeguarding policy and procedures.

Trustee

Dave brings extensive experience in charity leadership and development within cross cultural contexts.

JENNY HOWE

Program Coordinator

Jenny has more than 20 years experience of community development, having worked in both the voluntary sector and within local authorities. She currently serves on the board of trustees of two other charities. In 2003 Jenny was involved with the Oasis Centre ESOL project which preceded the Oasis English Language School.

ALAN DURRANT

Trustee & Treasurer

Alan had a career in financial services spanning 40 years, with the last 8 years as an independent adviser in Essex.
Alan is the Treasurer for Oasis English Language School and together with his wife, Lynne, runs the creche during lessons.
